According to the two directors of the new version of The Hellbound Heart, you all know better as Hellraiser, they are going in a new direction.
It will not be a remake. It will still be called 'Hellraiser' and it will have a new Pinhead." He added, "We are big fans of the original but we don't want to do it as a remake since that would be complete nonsense to do [or approach] it that way. Our story is very very different I promise! It will be cool!"
I'm a big Clive Barker fan, and The Hellbound Heart is a tremendous book. I thought Hellraiser got pretty close to it, so naturally I am a bit queasy to see where these two guys take the material. Though I don't know if you can have a new Pinhead, we all see Doug Bradley as Pinhead, it would be like someone other then Robert Englund playing Freddy Krueger it just won't work.
