Right Wing Idiocracy

The post is years late, but an event occurred last night near my home in Washington DC recently, its kinda puts things in perspective that racism isnt just a Southern thing.

Im not sure if you all remember the 2004 elections, where the Republican Congress, mainly our good friend from Faux news, Tony Snow deemed racism is over and we live in an era nothing like the Civil Rights period of the 50's and 60's. And who can forget Jeb Bush's 2004 scandal marking thousands of black voters as "criminals" so that they lose there right to vote

Well, the Repubs were wrong then and they are wrong now. We had the Jenna 6 not to long ago, frankly, this issue to me would have been more about "Southern Justice" and how bipolar it truly is, but the ole South had to include nooses. Did you NOT expect Rev Sharpton and tens of thousands of protesters to come and fight? Sure, the kids are guilty as sin for assault and battery, but we have laws in place that protect minors from being tried as adults. But back to my point, nooses to the African American community is JUST as offensive Swastika to the Jewish folk. What does this mean Mr. Snow?? RACISM STILL EXISTS!!!

And of course, yesterday, a bunch of white kids attacked a black kid, at the DC School of the Deaf, Gaulladet. Yes, a black kid was involved in the beating, but they marked the kid with what? a Swastika. That my friends, is provoking racism. and is a HATE CRIME.

Anyone who thinks that the Civil Rights movement is over is dead wrong. The 50's and 60's were a platform for a wake up call. Not the beginning and the end. Its only a matter of time until the Muslim community in this country picket and march for equalities and protection under the 14Th Amendment. To you Ostriches (my new fun nickname for the right, given by one of my favorite musicians, Dan Bern citing that they bury there head in the dirt) it is the Amendment that grants free and equal civil rights to all Americans. And to be frank, its long overdue. So get used to it.
