Dews Rant

Ok, this whole "Battle over the Spy Bill" thing has got me a little worked up, I have to admit.

The spin coming from the administration over Congress dropping the ball about passing an acceptable FISA bill is not just misleading, its just downright messed up.

The talking points from the Administration continually say "Congress is putting American lives in danger by not passing a bill to allow us to find and hunt terrah" (ok I'm paraphrasing a little bit here), but if that is the case then why have congressional republicans as well as the administration continued to block extensions of the same bill that has been in place up until now?

There is NOTHING different about the "new" spy bill, other then the contemptible provision protecting telecom companies from the illegal assistance they gave to the government in destroying our civil rights. Where then does this insane political spin come from where you have the balls to walk out on your democratic counter-parts in "Protest"???

This just really had me going last night watching quite possibly the worst case of hypocrisy in congress and the administration since those horrible ads run against former senator Max Cleeland (a war hero that lost 2 limbs serving his country, and is forever wheelchair bound for it) questioning his "patriotism" because he was wanted a Union provision in a Homeland Security bill...

What really gets me on this, is that these sons of bitches will actually be able to spin this somehow so that they DON'T look like the pieces of ^&*% that they are and quite honestly any image of them that doesn't portray that is just a damn travesty...

When I watched this i laughed my ass off. Thank goodness the Dems had the balls to continue the vote. This reminds me of how Russia protested the Secutity Councels motion on Korea in the 50's. They didnt show?? Who cares.

The Republicans have no shame. They attack their own party members reputations if it means an extra vote or 2. Hell, even McCain's war record was attacked by then Govenor Bush back in 2000.

I can't wait for a whole new round of Bushisms as he tries to support McCain during the general election. Good luck explaining yourself, Mr. Bush.
