You may be asking yourself, what score was 38-9? Well, that was the combined score of Oakland's victories over 2/5ths of the NL West. Namely I'm talking about SayHey's Giants and Perkin's Padres.
Now you may also be wondering, why would I bring that up? Well, it's quite simple really. We all know that Oakland is in rebuilding mode and many predict a very tough year for the elephants. So seeing this, at least in Spring Training, gives me some sort of hope for the future. We definitely haven't had a game like the Braves had against the Indians where they almost scored a no hitter, in spring training, but we've been putting points up on the board like we were the 2000 Rams.
