Congratulations to Jim Rice!

Congrats to Jim Rice on his election to the Hall of Fame on his 15th ballot.  Finally, the greatest and most feared hitter of his generation is getting his due.

Look, I know you're a fan and all, I just respectfully disagree he should have made it...

He played during Rickey's years right? Then there's no way he can be "the greatest and most feared hitter of his generation"

The guy still doesn't hold a candle to HAWK

I'll take Rock Raines over Hawk...

Nah, the Hawk was a better hitter, faster runner, and better outfielder than Jim "how did I ever get in the hall of fame?" rice.

Andre Dawson is much more deserving and should have been inducted years ago.

Rock Raines had a few good years, but not a hall of fame career.

I'll say this, I'd put Jim Rice in over Tim Raines

Depends what you're looking for. I personally like how Raines was able to get on base, hit more extra base hits and score more runs then the other two. I mean, scoring runs and getting on base is the name of the game folks...

Let me give you three names Dews.

Willie Mays
Barry Bonds
Andre Dawson

The only members of the 400HR and 300SB club

Of which, two of them were capable of getting on base over 40 percent of the time, while Dawson with his career of 589 walks as opposed to Raines 1330, was not.

Not to mention the Hawks 8 Gold Gloves and ROY honor
