Fred Thompson Drops out

Former Senator Fred Thompson has decided today to stop his half-hearted attempts at the Presidency.
"Today, I have withdrawn my candidacy for president of the United States. I hope
that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort,"
Thompson said in a statement.

Pretty sure this would tend to benefit McCain most, as Huckabee looks to be just about dead as a candidate, Giuliani still seems content placing all his eggs into the Florida basket, and Romney is still a robot, but stranger things have happened in this election cycle so far.

This is still a new story, so more info to follow as it comes in...

Nice Scoop Dews! Beating major outlets the the story

Yeah he's a Huck a Hucka outa gas and there is no way they will be able to fill the tank if they are no longer providing transport for the media then that's an effective media blackout. It's over for the Huckster.

Guiliani will not beat McCain in FL and Thompson will endorse McCain. Looks like the writing may be on the wall for the R primary.
