Radiohead's proud stance

Well, its finally been proven just how bad the RIAA is at marketing its product or even releasing a decent one.

As you may remember, Radiohead was allowing optional payments for their latest album via digital downloads. This of course was shocking in that why would anyone pay good money for their hard work if they can get it for free right?

Wrong... Dead wrong, and the RIAA is on notice.

Whatever the price, Radiohead's "In Rainbows" is a top-seller. The band's
seventh album was No. 1 on the week's music charts with sales of 122,000 copies,
according Nielsen SoundScan figures released Wednesday.

Here we have a great product that was available totally free online for anyone
to download and yet they are the top selling physical album in the country at
the moment?

Can someone then explain to me why so much effort is needed
to clamp down on the rest of us peons when we pirate crappy goods?

First off, Radiohead is a pretty damn good band and all other music out there is shit.

Second, people flocked to their innovative notion of "ill pay what i feel is right" idea. Seemed like it worked out very well.

Seems the RIAA has some 'splanin to do
