Alas! Spring Training has Begun

I know, pitchers and catchers reported and yadda yadda yadda, but today we finally get some action. 5 games are on the slate today, one in which I'm sure Ole Jack Gonzo will be listening to (1:05pm Cubs vs Phillie's) on his newly acquired XM radio. For the record....You bastard!!

Some early notes of interest thus far. YES, my Giants got younger yesterday, as 40 year old Omar Vizquel seemed to have hurt his knee before he got a chance to put on his jockey strap. He is out 4-6 weeks. This gives 26 year old Kevin Frandsen a chance to prove himself at SS. This to me is good news since he is being compared to Dustin Pedioria. Not a bad comparison, especially since we wont hit for power this season. Also, my prediction of the Rays upsetting the world may be stalled for Scott Kazmir has an elbow problem. This report was almost identical to the report I read last season when Francisco Liriano hurt himself. Needless to say, this could spell trouble in TB.

On a side note, the LSWTF staff and friends had our fantasy baseball draft this past weekend. In fact, it was quite successful. Needless to say, I drafted Brian Roberts. So to all Oriole fans who read and contribute I redact my months of resistance by saying "YES, He needs to be traded to the Cubs. I am now on your side Oriole fan. Trade him PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE!!!"

I shall have "Centerfield" stuck in my head all day...

Put me in coach, I'm ready to play! Today....

Look at me, I can be, Centerfield!

This time of year just makes me antsy waiting for the season to just hurry up and start already...

Sadly I haven't brought in the boom box to see if it will work in the office, gonna try that tomorrow.

For the record...SayHey waited until he was away from the jeers and mockery to drop someone and pick up Jim Thome

haha, I actually did notice that...

I'd just like to point out that I am #1 in the waiver priority because I have not made that many moves...

I predict I will not end the season like this, but SayHey and I usually compete for that distinction anyway :)

By Thome NOT being drafted, I feel more inclined to drop him if need be. Unlike Frank Thomas last year.......God what a waste of a draft pick
