You know its a good day in Red Sox Nation when the Globe confirms that Manny Ramirez has a new nickname: Rambo. Apparently he's been hitting the weights wicked hard, and is looking ripped heading into spring training. If this keeps him from getting injured this year, I'm all for it. Expect big things from Manny after an off-year during the regular season and two $20 million club options coming up at the end of the year.In other news, the Sox avoided arbitration, signing Kevin Youkilis to a $3 million, one-year deal. Hopefully the Sean Casey signing will keep Youk from his now-traditional second half cool down.

Sean Casey is one hell of a pick-up. Left handed power-hitter in that park??....faauget-abaut-it
yea, just when the hell is he gonna play? He gonna fight with Youk for at bats?
I think he's insurance. Youk has a tendency to cool off, but he's got a great glove at first. If he gets too cold, it'll be Casey. Also, if Ortiz needs a day off, it'll be Casey, unless Manny needs to rest. Hard to say where he'll fit in, unless he's going to take the Hinske roll. If that's the case, I love it, cause this guy is supposed to be an awesome clubhouse guy.
Yea, he's supposed to be one of the best guys in baseball as far as being a teammate is concerned.
Signing Casey as a backup is probably one of those moves thats impossibly to find anything bad in...
That and Youk can play 2b, 3b, and the outfield. He is a true utlity guy.
Casey will see his fair share of at-bats im sure. Francona knows how to manage his lineup, unlike Dusty Baker
If the Red Sox have a nation, what do the other teams have?

I don't pop my collar, don't listen to Dave Matthews Band, and I can pronounce socks and chowder well when I want to. I think Martin Sheen's accent in The Departed is the worst ever. I also will never buy a girl a pink Red Sox hat.
