Thursday Mini-Throw Down

So I'm sure some of you have been wondering about the lack of updates and everything here on LSWTF in the last few weeks. Look, I'll be honest with you, I get married in less then two weeks and the majority of my free time has been taken over by finalizing plans and the like for said wedding. Luckily SayHey and Dews only have to wear kilts for me and still have been able to post, but I have been busy making place cards, entrance music, programs, seating charts, amongst other things.

Once the wedding is over and I'm not working on programs and fonts I'll get back into the grove. I'll try for a mock draft before the wedding, and definitely one final mock, maybe a full seven rounder, before the draft takes place. It will be late but I will write my piece on the retirement of the greatest wrestler of all time, The Nature Boy Ric Flair. Hell, by the time I'm recovered from the wedding, family and everything else I may even have time to speak on the PA Primary and that giant clusterfuck.

I'm going, hopefully my A's can start playing easy teams soon and none of these playoff teams. I don't think anyone expected the Nationals to be 3-0 at this point, I know I didn't. Kickball is beginning to start so expect plenty of amusing stories about Dews as he is the one single representative of LSWTF this year. Less then a month away until Robert Downey Jr is IRON MAN...fuckin word.

I didn't get to watch yesterday's game (work, meetings) but I gotta say that I'm fairly impressed by the A's. If they do unload Blanton and Harden, I think the A's have a shot at becoming the team to beat in the AL West again, assuming they get the right prospects back.

A's need to NOT get shutout at home though, which is what Jon Lester did to them last night.

But I would agree, Oakland could be back in the playoffs in 2-3 years.

O's with a tremendous come from behind victory yesterday to get back to .500!

Not sure how I feel about Robert Downey Jr playing Iron Man yet, but I'll give it a chance...

Plus, what makes you think there are going to be humorous stories about yours truly?

Robert Downey Jr is perfect for the role. But your right, we will wait and see.

Ed Norton as the Hulk and Sam L. Jackson as Nick Furry will be in this one as well.

O's did win and Congrats for that, but had the worst attendance at Camden Yards EVER......All those O's fans are flocking to Nationals Park, and someday you will to!

Don't count us out this year. The AL West is tenuous at best. The Angels are loaded, but nothing behind their big stars, injuries could hurt them severely. The Mariners are the same way, but a bit better off with prospects then the Angels. The Rangers are...the Rangers. If Harden keeps pitching well, we'll keep him, though Blanton is probably a foregone conclusion in some trade.

Robert Downey Jr was playing Tony Stark for most of the 90s, he just didn't know it.

Dews, there is ALWAYS humorous stories

I did chuckle deep in my evil heart when I learned that Lester got a standing O at the Oakland Coliseum after shutting down the A's.

So much for Red Sox Nation, eh Mr. Steinbrenner?

Beer for the guy who sends me the best picture of Dews in a kilt (best is absolutely subjective and determined solely by me, maybe Emma if I have a tie).
I have such great plans for it.

Plans???

For a pic of me wearing a kilt?

Nothing good can possibly come of this...

You got that right.
