Dr. Feel to the rescue!

I've been sporadically posting now once every 2 weeks on average and the best I can do given my schedule is....

Yes, a celebrity craziness story staring none other then the infamous Ms. Spears.

This has a great twist though. Apparently Dr. Feel (I guess spelled Phil) has taken a personal route to Ms. Spears problems and has injected himself into this wonderful trainwreck!

"My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at
Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both
medical and psychological intervention," McGraw told the programs.

"She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very
concerned for her," he said.

I wish I could say that I have absolutely no interest in the goings-on of Ms. Spears, but I guess I'm part of some silent majority in wanting to slow down and watch the wreckage every now and then when she goes off and does something even more crazy.

Having experience with crazy women should make me write off this situation as just one more sad story by yet another insane woman, but I guess I just can't help but point and laugh...

RIAA Update

So its looking like the RIAA's case against the single mother accused of downloading 24 copyrighted songs, may be going to trial today.

The record companies have not specified how much they are seeking in damages. But on Wednesday, RIAA spokeswoman Cara Duckworth said they would be asking for damages on the 24 songs that the trial is focused on, not the 1,702 that were described in the lawsuit.

Copyright law allows damages of $750 to $30,000 per infringement, or up to $150,000 if the violation was "willful." That means Thomas, who works for the Department of Natural Resources of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, could face a judgment of anywhere from $18,000 to $3.6 million for the 24 songs.

Regardless of how the first trial of a person accused of illegally sharing music online turns out, the record industry plans to keep suing listeners for a while.

Everything about this story pisses me off beyond belief... First you have an industry that is half in the toilet as it is from constantly pushing cookie-cutter, non-original, and just downright awful music that they themselves pay stations to play (very much illegal).

Then they wonder why they're losing money? Or scratch that, they wonder why they aren't making as much money as they used to?

Why not put out a decent product for a change? Why not embrace these emerging technologies as they come, rather then use your Gestapo method of dealing with innovation (ie, crush anything first, then steal their idea for your own, ie, napster?).

I'm so tired of this most blatant abuse of corporate power, that I really don't even know what else to say... I guess they'll all get theirs in the the next life, kinda like that jackass Valenti is getting right now (too much?) :).

Because I feel like I should be the Hollywood insider for the blog (pause for dramatic effect), I feel it is my duty to report this...

Britney Spears is being forced to give up custody of her children to none other then K-Fed himself...

A judge on Monday ordered Britney Spears to turn over custody of her two young sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline this week.

I know, this hit me as quite the shock as well, given the history of stellar parenting on display from Ms. Spears (PS, Call me!), but to give them to multi-baby daddy K-Fed?

Sad sad day. Hit me baby one more time indeed...
