Jacobson benched for allegedly bigoted remarks

ESPN's Dana Jacobson has been suspended for a drunken rant during a roast for Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic of the Mike and Mike Show. Before being pulled off stage, rumor is she managed to drop f-bombs about Notre Dame, Touchdown Jesus, and, well, Jesus. She's apologized, although it took her nearly two weeks to do it. Must've been a killer hangover.

ESPN isn't saying much, and there's no video of the rant (though I'd love to see it). Question is: if Kelly Tilghman got a two-week suspension for her lynch comment about Tiger Woods, what should Jacobson get? I'm thinking the old pink slip.

Two Men Enter One Man Leaves

So ESPN's Page 2 has a list of The Top Hundred Beat Downs of All Time. They do include some classics such as
4. Mike Tyson knocks out Michael Spinks, who had never been knocked to the canvas in his career, in 1 minute, 30 seconds.
14. Sonny at the tollbooth.
27. Nolan Ryan over Robin Ventura.
39. Houston 100, Tulsa 6, 1968. Most points scored against a major college football opponent. Dr. Phil was a linebacker on the Tulsa squad. Coincidence?
50. Bo Jackson over Brian Bosworth, Monday Night Football, 1987.
68. Jerry Rice versus NFL cornerbacks and safeties, 1985-2004.
77. The NFL versus Ryan Leaf.
90. The NCAA versus SMU football, 1987.
95. NBA referees versus Sacramento Kings, Game 6, 2002 Western Conference finals: Kings called for 27 fourth-quarter fouls against the Lakers as L.A. pulled out a 106-102 victory.

In this thought I think I shall make another of my infamous Top Ten lists, the Top Ten Beatdowns in Movie history. So prepare yourself, it could come today, it could come tomorrow, just know it be coming soon.
