Granted, the only wrestling I remember as a child was Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, some dude named Sting with a greenish mask(?), and vaguely remember that Iranian guy (as a child of the 80's, I'm supposed to though so I would have been prepared to fight them in the future :) ). So I'll leave that one to the experts here...

Leading off (as there is no shortage of this type of news) are even further examples of the economic downturn the US is currently facing with news today of new home sales falling to their lowest levels in 13 years:

The Commerce Department reported Wednesday that new home sales dropped 1.8 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 590,000 units, the slowest sales pace since February 1995. The decline was slightly worse than expected.

Really wishing I was in a position to be gobbling up homes like the robber barons of old, but until LSWTF gets a sweet book deal (like StuffWhitePeopleLike), or get bought out by AOL (ala Engadget), I don't see that happening just yet...

Thankfully it seems no matter how much the US Government helps to bail out certain members of the predatory lending industry (read: Mortgage Brokers), Wall St still looks to lose $460 Billion over the sub prime mortgage collapse (or "or almost four times the amount already disclosed").

In a slightly funnier move, Clint "Dirty Harry" Eastwood was fired by Ahnuld on California's State Parks commission, as well as Ahnuld's own brother-in-law Bobby Shriver.

(Ahnuld can do no wrong, so Clint and Bobby obviously did something to screw this cake position up).

Finally, running across this site (as well as seeing it on CNN), has convinced me I'm nowhere near ready to have kids and probably never ready to have a daughter...

Dews Tuesday Rundown...

Seemingly a sleepy week here at LSWTF.com, as the dominant stories have been away from our usual buffet of sports (and then arguing about how bad the San Francisco Giants are as opposed to the Baltimore Orioles), and more geared towards current events, Law, Politics, etc.

I know our good friend Jack Gonzo may still be recovering from a long trip to the west coast over the weekend though, so that may still require a bit more healing :).

Anyway, leading off the stories of the day are some news out of Ye Olde England and former Beatles Great, Sir Paul McCartney (or rather his Ex-wife gold-digger Heather Mills).

Its not like stories like these don't happen all the time, but this Mills character had been selling this split as brought on by actions of Sir Paul... This evidence of course did not exactly impress the judge:

"I have to say I cannot accept the wife’s case that she was wealthy and independent by the time she met the husband in the middle of 1999. Her problem stems from the lack of any documentary evidence to support her case as to the level of her earnings."
The Judge added: "Her tax returns for 1999 and 2000 do not support the wife’s case of very significant earnings as set out in her affidavit.

Which all kind of makes sense when you consider she originally had requested £125 Million as a settlement...

In the immortal words of Dr. Dre, you just can't make a Hoe a housewife... And lord, those truly are still words to live by!!!

The Dalai Lama continues to try to fix the situation in Tibet as it seemingly is spiraling out of control, by today announcing that if Tibetans continue using violence in their demonstrations then he will resign as the political leader and "head of state" for the Tibetan government in exile.

This story will of course get much worse before it gets any better I'm sure...

Finally in a more inspirational story, Darth Vader himself (Dick Cheney) is in Iraq visiting the troops, shaking hands, kissing babies, the whole nine yards.

In an ironically twisted way, the most telling part of the trip so far (besides the female suicide bomber that killed at least 43 at last count), was his inspiring speech to the troops hailing how badly the people of Iraq and Afghanistan needed freedom... There is just something about a leader giving that kind of speech to an army that is presently in a sovereign country just is kind of funny to me.

Craigslist, not safe for your average wfmmmmmm encounter anymore.

In July raids, the sheriff of Cook County, Ill., rounded up 43 women working on the streets — and 60 who advertised on Craigslist. In Seattle, a covert police ad on Craigslist in November resulted in the arrests of 71 men, including a bank officer, a construction worker and a surgeon.

This just ain't right on so many levels. Not just the entrapment aspect, but damnit, if people wanna go online and use these types of services, isn't it a lot safer that way then sending them to the "bad part of town" to solicit for themselves, or by themselves?

I guess I just don't see the big problem with prostitution anyway though. Its just like the war on vice, er drugs... People want certain things and will go out of their way (ie break laws) to fill those needs. Besides the moral argument against that type of behavior (which gets nowhere with an avowed Libertarian like myself), what is the rationale?

I'm always open to changing my views... Anyone that knows me is probably getting a good chuckle from that one :).

More American Jobs being flushed down the toilet

News out of LA this morning talking of a Sex Slavery ring that has been broken up. That is all very fine and good and whatever, but dig a little deeper into the story and something truly sinister looks back at you...

Yes people, this is just yet another case of american service jobs being stolen from hard working american hoes.

America, we are losing our own hoes to harder working cheaper ones from Guatemala!
