Bad boys whatcha gonna do

CNNSI has learned the names of 14 wrestlers connected with an illegal steroid distribution network, they are:

• Chris Benoit, who received nandrolone and anastrozole in February 2006.

• Eddie Guerrero was sent nandrolone, testosterone, and anastrozole.

• Chavo Guerrero, received somatropin (HGH), nandrolone and anastrozole between April 2005 and May 2006.

• Between November 2003 and February 2007, Shane Helms received testosterone, genotropin (HGH) and nandrolone.

• From September 2004 through February 2007, Randy Orton received somatropin, nandrolone, stanozolol.

• John Morrison, between June 2006 and February 2007, was prescribed somatropin, anastrozole, testosterone, stanozolol and chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone produced naturally during pregnancy.

• Mr. Kennedy, received shipments of anastrozole, somatropin and testosterone between October 2006 and February 2007.

• Shoichi Funaki received somatropin in March 2006.

• Crush, received nandrolone, testosterone and Somatropin or HGH in December 2006.

• Charles Haas was prescribed anastrozole, somatropin, stanozolol, nandrolone and chorionic gonadotropin between August 2006 and January 2007.

• Edward Fatu (Umaga) received somatropin between July and December 2006.

• Between November 2004 and November 2006, Darren Matthews (William Reagle) received stanozolol, somatropin, genotropin, and anastrozole.

• Edge, received somatropin, genotropin (both HGH), and stanozolol between September 2004 and February 2007.

• Sylvain Grenier received somatropin, nandrolone, genotropin and stanozolol, starting in February 2005 through July 2006.

So there you have it, on that list is the ten wrestlers who were suspended for their connection to the steroid ring. That means we will see at least two title changes within the next week or so. John Morrison will lose the title to CM Punk, likely at the very next ECW show. Umaga likewise will lose his IC title on Raw I would think, possibly to Jeff Hardy or Carlito.

Now for some folks, namely Edge and Shane Helms, this will not hurt them. Shane Helms has come and said he was taking these, but they were ordered by a doctor. I would like to believe him, but it may be the connection to the ring which is the real problem. We know Orton has been suspended before, so this shouldn't be too shocking. Kennedy has said he has used in the past, but the dates doesn't help that only then claim.

What does this mean now? CM Punk new ECW Champion. Someone is going to be the new IC Champion. Randy Orton will likely be taken out by Cena this week and "put on the shelf due to injury" after his attack on Cena's father last week. Reagle, Funaki and Haas won't have much of an impact not being around. This means a new GM for Raw, look for Stone Cold to take up this role or maybe even Mick Foley. I think I know one person who may be smiling about all of this, HHH. This means his title run is going to be happening a lot sooner then he expected now that Orton will be gone.

Actually, give King Booker the IC Title, that will elevate it and it is exactly what it needs. I could dig a three way fight for it between Book, Carlito and Hardy. I have no idea of who Punk is going to feud with, but I expect the booking will be very Bret Hart-esque, where he takes big beatings but finds a way to win. This was all bound to come to a head sooner or later, good thing it is now and not a month before Wrestlemania.
