Money + Show = Lots of Money

Usually I reserve any and all WWE topics for the good Doctor, but him and I chatted about this not to long ago. He was unimpressed, I however, see this as the next trend in American sports.
Floyd "Money" Mayweather has signed a 20 million dollar contract to fight "The Big Show" in the upcoming WWE Wrestlemania XXIV. Get used to these kind of WWE match-ups. Boxing is a dying sport and I dont see wrestling picking up new fans due to success of UFC and other MMA promotions. This doesnt come to me as a big shock. Some of sports finest athletes took their shots at fighting in the WWE ring; e.g. (Among others of course) Mike Tyson, Steve McMichael, a ninja, etc. Hell, even my favorite bands lead singer, Billy Corgan, took center stage. I could easily see more boxers, more ex-football players, and hell, a basketball player or 2, other elite players with name recognition do the same thing in upcoming years with WWE.
I have always been a boxing fan, and to me this is somewhat dissapointing. I remember when boxing was an elite sport, which tested a mans physical limits as well as mental toughness. A fighter would train for months just to fight for 30 minutes. It was hard for me to admit that boxing is dead but the corruption, piss poor promotions, even pissier match-ups, and the depletion of top talent was all the reasons to lose supremacy over MMA. Oh well it seems. I just wish Floyd Mayweather wasnt the one cashing in. Give me Bernard Hopkins. That man spent learned to fight while serving significant years in jail. I want him fighting the Show. Even Gonzo could agree on that one.

Wrestlemania Thoughts
With rumors circulating that on tonight's Monday Night Raw anniversary that they will begin to set up a possible Wrestlemania main event tonight it got me thinking once again to what I would book if I was Vince McMahon. The key to Wrestlemania is to not be afraid to show a certain person, or people, the money to make the all time greatest Wrestlemania match ever happen.
Dark Match
Cade and Murdoch vs London and Kendrick
A simple match to warm up the crowd, especially with London and Kendrick to start the evening right.
Opening Match
ECW Title
CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio
These two could work some real magic together to start the show off right. I don't know if they have any real ideas what to do with Rey Mysterio at this point, so this makes sense to get him involved in the ECW Title match.
Money In The Bank
John Morrison vs Bobby Lashley vs Shelton Benjamin vs Umaga vs Santino Marella vs Kane
You have two men who can do great things with ladders (Morrison and Benjamin) a man who can talk (Santino) and enough big beasts to make this match interesting. I think I might actually finally give Kane the win here, he's been in enough already.
Women's Title
Beth Phoenix vs Mickie James
A breather for the most part, but with two female wrestlers who can work well enough to keep the fans interested.
IC Title Match
Jeff Hardy vs Mr. Kennedy
I know we've seen this match plenty of times before, but do we really have any other options? The match should be decent enough, maybe through in a gimmick as well.
US Title Match
MVP vs Matt Hardy
You can continue to build this up all the way to Wrestlemania, they've done a good job so far.
Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho
When I was devising this, I couldn't decide what to do with these two men so I thought perhaps a rematch of one of the best matches of all time was in order.
World Title Match
Edge vs Undertaker
Yes, I'd have Edge win the title off of Batista at Armageddon and lead up to this match where both streaks are on the line.
Batista vs Randy Orton
This would come about due to the finish of the Royal Rumble, where a certain someone eliminated both of them at the end to win the Rumble.
WWE Title Match
HHH vs Ric Flair
Yes, HHH would beat Orton on Raw for the title after Armageddon and Flair would win the Rumble to get his shot at greatness at Wrestlemania. Hell, I'd even give Flair the victory here...with a little help from Arn Anderson.
THE MAIN EVENT
Hulk Hogan vs Stone Cold Steve Austin vs THE ROCK
Yes, I would make this a triple threat match. Wait, I'd make it a three way dance where Austin pins Hogan and Rock pins Austin. This is the match where I don't care how much money The Rock asked for Vince McMahon should pay it and give us the greatest main event in Wrestlemania history.

My Raw Top 15 Moments
The WWE has put out their top 15 Raw Moments of all time, so I thought I would to. Now these are my own opinions, things that occurred that have stood out in my mind and stood the test of time. Ironically enough, I don't think anything is past the "Attitude" era. I think the only things that got on the probable list were the Radicalz showing up, Angel's Cage Moonsault, Hurrican beating Rock, Rock singing in Sacramento and Matt Hardy's invasion of Raw, which did eventually make the list.
13. Bret Screwed Bret
12. Rock, This is Your Life
11. Paging Dr. Austin
10. A Degenerate Nation
9. I'm Gonna Make Your Life Miserable
8. Mankind Wins Gold
7. Raw Is Jericho
6. DX Invades WCW
5. Austin Throws IC Belt Off The Bridge
4. Pillman Must Protect This House!
3. Three Faces of Foley
2. Raw is ECW

CNN-Cena Update
Director of Public Relations Jennifer Dargan released this statement last night:
Sure there Ms Dargan, that's nice lil story you've told the sheep. My question to you is if you saw nothing wrong with the editing, why then did you alter the Sunday replay? Could it be that there may be a defamation lawsuit coming your way and you're trying to cover your asses? Vince McMahon has been sued plenty of time, he knows the score, and I don't think he'd be afraid of taking money from Ted Turner again.
CNN felt that Mr. Cena's statement in the interview:"My answer to that question 'have you ever used steroids' is -- the only thing I can say -- I can't tell you that I haven't, but you'll never be able to prove that I have" was a more expansive and complete answer -- and that's why we used it in the first run of the program. And we stand by that decision. But, we added the other quote on the Sunday replay where Mr. Cena first denied using steroids. We did this because of his complaint and the attention it received so that viewers could see how he said it both times.

A glaring example of the "Media Problem"

John Cena, former WWE Champion, sat down recently and gave a 45 minute interview to CNN about drugs, pro wrestling and everything in between for their documentary on the subject stemming from the Chris Benoit incident in the Spring. What occurred was nothing short of a lack of journalistic integrity and a tarnishing of a man who has done a lot of good for folks.
Now I know most of you know I'm a pro wrestling fan so you're not surprised to see me come to John Cena's defense. Ask CityCat or Dock, I am not what you would call a John Cena fan. I don't particularly like his wrestling style and I think his gimmick is microwaved cow shit. That being said, he didn't need or deserve what CNN did to him.
If you watch the videos, watch the CNN edit first so you can understand the outrage. They ask him about steroids and edit it to make it appear as if he is trying to dodge the question, a quick ten seconds bit. Wisely the WWE sent along a camera and recorded the whole interview. That is the second video you should watch, the unedited footage where the first words out of Cena's mouth are absolutely not.
This is a glaring example of the problem with our media in a nutshell. They create news to fit their agenda, in this case that all pro wrestlers are on steroids and are drug addicts. They get a beautiful and insightful answer, one of the most candid I've seen on the subject, and cut it to fit into their mold. I wish the news would report NEWS, and not what they consider will serve to their message and agenda.
In my opinion, this is why things like blogs are becoming more relevant in our time. Blogs have agendas, but they will at least give you the entire story so that you can make up your mind about the facts. They don't edit out footage to suppress someone's statement and story. This is why bloggers are taking over for "traditional" media, they're the only ones with journalistic integrity left.

The Smackdown/ECW Merger
Apparently the dismal ratings for ECW has spurned the WWE to basically combine ECW and Smackdown, which is fine they're on the same night filming wise anyways. This gives a better chance to get more superstars over who may not get traditional tv time anyways. Looking this over, I had a few ideas and I figured I'd share them with you all here today.
RAW
First comes the roster changes again. The following is my list of wrestlers I would keep or add to the Raw Roster. It is the flagship show so it should have the majority of big names, moving to boost Smackdown hasn't helped much and as such I would want to make Raw as good as possible. If more people watch Raw more people will watch Smackdown and ECW, a good product gives good ratings on all shows.
John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Mr. Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Lashley, HHH, HBK, Chris Jericho, Carlito, Hardcore Holly, Snitsky, Val Venis, Umaga, Santino Marella, Cade and Murdoch, London and Kendrick, Deuce and Domino, The Highlanders, Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle, Mickie James, Melina, Jillian Hall, and Victoria.
This show has your big names, which can fight for the title, have great feuds and help build up those wrestlers who are right there on the cusp of being the guy to run with the ball (read Lashley, Carlito, Kennedy). You put your best women wrestlers on the show and let the ones who are just show ponies go be eye candy on Smackdown and ECW. Eventually I would also add Harry Smith and TJ Wilson as the New Hart Foundation along with Naddie Neidhart.
ECW/SMACKDOWN

ECW and Smackdown will then be for the wrestlers who are getting long in the tooth, not talented enough but have the size to main event, are being breed for a big push, cruiserweights, and your basic midcard folks. Think of it as a baseball team that has a mixture of rookies and veterans, where the veterans are there to help teach the young player. I think it gives a lot more people opportunity to be on TV, learn how to get over in the WWE, and helps the product overall.
Batista, MVP, Matt Hardy, CM Punk, John Morrison, Elijah Burke, Kane, Undertaker, Big Daddy V, Great Khali, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair, Chuck Palumbo, Balls Mahoney, The Miz, Nunzio, Gregory Helms, Jamie Knoble, Finlay, The Major Brothers, Jesse and Festus, Shelton and Charlie, Shannon Moore, Jimmy Wang Yang, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Dykstra, Super Crazy and Kevin Thorne.
There is more wrestlers on this roster, but they have more room so naturally they get more. Now you may look and wonder about the lack of big names, it is deliberate. They have some of the biggest names of all time in Undertaker and Ric Flair, and some folks who have been main eventers in Kane, Batista, Mysterio and Khali. These guys can help teach the younger studs and get them ready for the main event curtain.
I would also add to this list The Second City Saints and Paul Birchall as I think these three folks are indeed ready for tv. You could have a new Nation of Domination with MVP, Elijah Burke, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. They could feud with the Second City Saints. The big advantage this brings us is adding cruiserweight matches to ECW and bringing back the title that just disappeared with Hornswoggle. My first act would be to have a 8 man tournament to crown a new champion. You have the folks in Nunzio, Knoble, Moore, Yang, Rhodes, Mysterio, Crazy and Jesse. Hell, that's how you get one of the guys over, they get the surprise upset over Mysterio and he puts them over big time.
They could do this very well, drop some of the dead weight, but I think we all know that is unlikely to happen. This is the WWE and they haven't been thinking straight since 2003 or so. The last time they thought straight was when Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero were both champions at Wrestlemania, sadly they are no longer with us. Of course these are only my ideas and no one in the E will ever hear these, but one can wonder what would happen if they did.
RAW

John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Mr. Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Lashley, HHH, HBK, Chris Jericho, Carlito, Hardcore Holly, Snitsky, Val Venis, Umaga, Santino Marella, Cade and Murdoch, London and Kendrick, Deuce and Domino, The Highlanders, Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle, Mickie James, Melina, Jillian Hall, and Victoria.

WWE Hall of Fame 2008/2009
Someone on JR's blog asked him yesterday or so about the Hall of Fame and if Sabu would be inducted into it? First off, Sabu? Yes, he has had quite an impact on this sport but some would argue if it has been good or bad. If it is for toughness alone he should be in there without a doubt. There are others more deserving then Sabu that likely would never make it in, which saddens me. So today I give to you the next fourteen folks I believe will be inducted into the WWE hall of fame the next two years.
2008 inductions
The British Bulldogs-This is a long time coming and I think this plus another induction this year would be the perfect time to introduce the new Hart Family, much like they did with Cody Rhodes this year. The real highlight would be to see Dynamite accept his award and speak to some of the people, I'm looking at you Jeff Hardy, who take too many risks.
Inductor-Harry Smith
Ravishing Rick Rude-An IC champ, a former WCW Champ, and one of the most hated wrestlers in history. There may be some bad blood from when he went to WCW, but that should be over now and he deserves to be in the hall of fame with his best friend Curt Henning. He was probably the best heel talker other then Bobby Heenan in the WWE in the late 80s.
Inductor-Bobby Heenan
The Model Rick Martel-He had a very illustrious career, multiple champion everywhere he went and I think he deserves to be there. If Strongbow and Steele are in the Hall of Fame, Martel should be as well. They even gave him the crappy ass Model gimmick and somehow he managed to work it, hat has to go off on that.
Inductor-Tito Santana
Scott Hall-He's never gonna wrestle again I wager so why not induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. Without a doubt Shawn Michaels might have never become the showstopper if it wasn't for his matches with Hall. He was also the cool bad character long before there was a Stone Cold running around. He definitely change the business with the nWo and would assume his friends would push for this.
Inductor-Shawn Michaels
Terry Funk-I was shocked when I learned that he wasn't in the WWE Hall of Fame. The grandfather of hardcore without a doubt deserves to be in there. We all know his contributions to this sport, and the get the bonus of having Mick Foley induct him into the Hall of Fame, how can that not work? Thankfully retirement is not a requirement for enshrinement.
Inductor-Mick Foley
The Big Two Inductions
Owen Hart-The King of Harts, the Black Hart, the sole survivor, The Rocket Owen Hart; it's a long time coming. I would hope this would happen about the same time an Owen Hart DVD was released as that is long overdue as well. Here you get the bonus of possibly having Bret Hart there once again to induct his lil baby brother and the reaction and tears would be legendary. Owen Hart deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, they OWE him that much.
Inductor-Bret Hart

The Rock-This year's Wrestlemania is in Florida, why not have the biggest name induction be The Rock? He's never going to wrestle again, might as well induct him. I think people are easily fooled since he is still listed on their Superstars page, but The Rock is a Hollywood star now, let us finally bury the career of the Rock in the WWE and induct him properly. You could even have him have a small segment at Mania much like Hogan did, and who knows, maybe that MIGHT rekindle something.
Inductor-Steve Austin
Hall of Fame 2009
Rock N Roll Express-Keeping in the tradition of inducting one tag team each year into the Hall of Fame I give to you maybe the most over tag team ever in the South. I'm not sure who would induct them, but you could have someone like the Hardys, or maybe even Arn Anderson or someone of that nature. They are well deserving and hopefully there isn't any bad blood to allow them to be held back from induction.
Inductor-Arn Anderson
Jim Neidhardt-Some may question this, but here is another reason to get Bret Hart at the Hall of Fame. Then again, his daughter could be WWE Women's Champion at the time and could induct him as well. Bret is already in and so to have the Hart Foundation complete in the Hall of Fame you have to induct The Anvil, especially since someone who performed in the 80s he looks the same he deserves some sort of reward.
Inductor-Naddie Neidhardt
Mick Foley-He's also retired, it's Wrestlemania 25, and by god does Mick deserve to be in. People find it odd that my favorite wrestler of all time is Cactus Jack. Not Mick as the other gimmicks didn't get me as much, but Cactus touched a part of me most folks don't know about. The fans love Foley, after all, Foley is GOoD. Have Terry Funk induct him, or better yet, have Al Snow induct Mick Foley, that would be comedy gold.
Inductor-Al Snow
Kevin Nash-Now this is baring that he is no longer under TNA contract or something, but Nash does deserve to be in the Hall of Fame as well. Having Shawn Michaels or Scott Hall induct him would be a great joy and amusement to see happen. We all know Nash is one of the funniest performers of all time and without a doubt his speech would be something for the ages.
Inductor-Shawn Michaels
Miss Elizabeth-This has been put off for way too long and as the first Diva in the WWE, Miss Elizabeth deserves to be in here right next to Sherri, Moolah and all the others. Though he tenure may not have been as long as others, the is no question as to the impact she brought to the product. I can think of three storylines that were golden that revolved directly around her.
Inductor-Trish Stratus
The Big Two Inductions
Macho Man Randy Savage-Yes, it's Wrestlemania 25 and Randy Savage needs to be here, if for nothing else the absolute comedy gold that his crazy ass would spout during his speech. He was one of the most over wrestlers of all time, and in the 80s I would argue there was no one bigger then Savage, Hogan, Flair and Piper. We all know the issues allegedly surrounding his getting inducted, but for the fans sake I hope both sides can come together and work something out for the fans. I just hope Bonesaw is ready.
Inductor-Dusty Rhodes
The Nature Boy Ric Flair-Without a doubt this is THE greatest wrestler of all time. Some argue, well he lost his titles all those times. Yes, to put people over, but he always ended up getting it back. He lives and breathes this business and would always be my number one draft pick for building a wrestling company. There is no one in this business who performs quite the way Flair does. His counterpart also needs to be in the hall of Fame, both of them. That of course is Arn Anderson and Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, but I suppose that is for 2010.
Inductor-HHH (you know he's gonna want to do this)
Realizing who wasn't already in the hall of fame, here is also a short list for those who should be inducted in 2010.
The Road Warriors, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, Ricky Steamboat, The Midnight Express, Demolition and Chris Benoit.
Yes, I realize it is a heavy tag team year, but all four teams deserve to be inducted.
2008 inductions

Inductor-Harry Smith
Ravishing Rick Rude-An IC champ, a former WCW Champ, and one of the most hated wrestlers in history. There may be some bad blood from when he went to WCW, but that should be over now and he deserves to be in the hall of fame with his best friend Curt Henning. Bad boys whatcha gonna do

CNNSI has learned the names of 14 wrestlers connected with an illegal steroid distribution network, they are:
• Chris Benoit, who received nandrolone and anastrozole in February 2006.
• Eddie Guerrero was sent nandrolone, testosterone, and anastrozole.
• Chavo Guerrero, received somatropin (HGH), nandrolone and anastrozole between April 2005 and May 2006.
• Between November 2003 and February 2007, Shane Helms received testosterone, genotropin (HGH) and nandrolone.
• From September 2004 through February 2007, Randy Orton received somatropin, nandrolone, stanozolol.
• John Morrison, between June 2006 and February 2007, was prescribed somatropin, anastrozole, testosterone, stanozolol and chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone produced naturally during pregnancy.
• Mr. Kennedy, received shipments of anastrozole, somatropin and testosterone between October 2006 and February 2007.
• Shoichi Funaki received somatropin in March 2006.
• Crush, received nandrolone, testosterone and Somatropin or HGH in December 2006.
• Charles Haas was prescribed anastrozole, somatropin, stanozolol, nandrolone and chorionic gonadotropin between August 2006 and January 2007.
• Edward Fatu (Umaga) received somatropin between July and December 2006.
• Between November 2004 and November 2006, Darren Matthews (William Reagle) received stanozolol, somatropin, genotropin, and anastrozole.
• Edge, received somatropin, genotropin (both HGH), and stanozolol between September 2004 and February 2007.
• Sylvain Grenier received somatropin, nandrolone, genotropin and stanozolol, starting in February 2005 through July 2006.
So there you have it, on that list is the ten wrestlers who were suspended for their connection to the steroid ring. That means we will see at least two title changes within the next week or so. John Morrison will lose the title to CM Punk, likely at the very next ECW show. Umaga likewise will lose his IC title on Raw I would think, possibly to Jeff Hardy or Carlito.
Now for some folks, namely Edge and Shane Helms, this will not hurt them. Shane Helms has come and said he was taking these, but they were ordered by a doctor. I would like to believe him, but it may be the connection to the ring which is the real problem. We know Orton has been suspended before, so this shouldn't be too shocking. Kennedy has said he has used in the past, but the dates doesn't help that only then claim.
What does this mean now? CM Punk new ECW Champion. Someone is going to be the new IC Champion. Randy Orton will likely be taken out by Cena this week and "put on the shelf due to injury" after his attack on Cena's father last week. Reagle, Funaki and Haas won't have much of an impact not being around. This means a new GM for Raw, look for Stone Cold to take up this role or maybe even Mick Foley. I think I know one person who may be smiling about all of this, HHH. This means his title run is going to be happening a lot sooner then he expected now that Orton will be gone.
Actually, give King Booker the IC Title, that will elevate it and it is exactly what it needs. I could dig a three way fight for it between Book, Carlito and Hardy. I have no idea of who Punk is going to feud with, but I expect the booking will be very Bret Hart-esque, where he takes big beatings but finds a way to win. This was all bound to come to a head sooner or later, good thing it is now and not a month before Wrestlemania.

WWE=Clown Shoes

I wanted to wait and let people read the previous article and let it really sink in before I moved on to my next point. It was very well received by the folks at Pro Wrestling Blog and my thanks go out to them for their compliments. My point today is how predictable the WWE has become, how ridiculous. I use the term coined by Kevin Smith in Dogma, the WWE is now just "fucking clown shoes".
First we begin with Raw, HHH is back which at least leads to some amusement. Cena and Orton continue and as soon as they showed his father I knew what they were going to do. It is quite obvious to anyone who has watched the E in the last five years. Orton attacks Dusty errrr I mean Cena's father instead of Cena. We also had Cryme Tyme stealing Whirling Dervish's hat, again, though at least they are entertaining. There seemed to be more dead in this episode then in most, which is just another week of lackluster WWE programming.
During ECW we continue to see the E try to shape Johnny Nitro errrr John Morrison (what is he on, his twentieth name change?) into a new version of Raven minus the lackeys. Raven channeled a lot of Morrison in 94, and Morrison is channeling Raven, just much happier. CM Punk continues to be stuck in the spin cycle, killing all momentum he has had. If it wasn't for our constant support of Punk they would have jobbed him to The Miz a long time a go. Balls and Kelly Kelly, are we seriously going to be doing a beauty and the beast angle? Also, why was Elijah Burke not in the number one contender match? If you're gonna do the beauty and the beast storyline, why is the Miz not involved?
SPOILER ALERT
So my prediction came true, Rey Mysterio will be facing off against The Great Khali. Didn't we see this a few years ago, Rey versus the Big Show? As scary as it sounds, The Big Show talked far better then Khali and that says a lot. So Hardy and MVP are now Austin and Michaels, yawn. They need to have MVP drop the title, especially if he won't be able to wrestle for a long time. Hardy may be your most consistent worker on Smackdown (Finlay is the other in contention) and he's not being used during this shit. It doesn't even feel like they are trying with Smackdown, hell ECW seems to have more direction then Smackdown and that is frightening.
END SPOILER ALERT
They seriously need some bookers, not writers non of this soap opera and movie writer bullshit, real bookers. Both the WWE and TNA are suffering, not because the product itself is bad, it's because the decisions being made are god awful. I'm pretty sure I could find a 6 year old who could come up with more compelling shit then what they are producing. They can't figure out if they're gonna push Kennedy or not. They keep CM Punk just bobbing above water, always with the threat of drowning. I think we have seen the same Khali/Batista match fifty times now. We get the idea that Vince has slept with a lot of women.
WWE, please, for the sake of your company and for the sake of professional wrestling fire your staff starting with Brian Gerwitz and Dok Hendrix. Stephanie shouldn't be in charge of writing either, let her raise her child, oil HHH, get bigger implants, or whatever else she does in her spare time. You need an injection of fresh ideas, a bold new direction, and not the same retreaded shtick that you've been giving us for the past five years. My door is always open to do this for you, within a year the internet and its tubes would no longer be complaining about your product, they'd be raving about it.
Except of course those who bitch just for the sake of bitching, but fuck em.

My Solution for the WWE

Last night was SummerSlam, and judging by all reports it was once again a mediocre affair. To be honest, I've more or less have stopped watching the WWE due to many reasons the chief of among them is the mediocre level that they have fallen to followed closely by the ridiculous storylines, pushing of talent undeserving, too much female bs, and many more reasons that I could list but then we'd be here all day and night. The following is my solution to the problems the WWE currently has and what, I believe, would lead to a resurgence of viewership and overall product quality.
SHOW ROSTERS RELEASES AND MOVES
First and foremost would be the immediate altering of rosters. Not a huge move, like I have suggested in the past, but one to help each show solidify what they stand for. Therefore here are the individuals that I would remove from each show and either release from their contract or relocate them.
RAW
Hacksaw Jim Duggan-release
The Sandman-release
Santino Marella-OVW
Super Crazy-Smackdown
Val Venis-ECW
SMACKDOWN
Mark Henry-release
Shannon Moore-ECW
The Major Brothers-Raw
Deuce, Domino and Cherry-Raw
Ashley, Michelle, Torrie-Raw
Victoria-ECW
ECW
The Boogeyman-Smackdown
Nunzio-Smackdown
The Miz-Smackdown
Big Daddy V and Matt Striker-Smackdown
Extreme Expose-Raw
Mark Henry's contract is up, or so I hear, and I would just release him. He can't wrestle very well and is constantly hurt. Hacksaw gets the old timer pop, but is useless otherwise, I think the same can almost be said for the Sandman (and I'm a fan). Santino is not ready for prime time as one would say and I suggest sending him back to the minors.
As you see, I have sent the majority of the women to Raw. They serve no purpose on Smackdown and I'm tired as hell of watching Extreme Expose and their bad dancing. Perhaps keep Kelly Kelly on ECW as a manager as a foil to Victoria.

ROSTER SIGNINGS
The key to this is of course the rumor that certain TNA contracts are up in October so naturally this is when this would take place. I also think it is imperative that these men move now as TNA is becoming WCW 2000 in a hurry and completely wasting these talents.
Samoa Joe
Christopher Daniels
Senshi
Elix Skipper
Colt Cabana
Now, in a dream world I would include Homicide on this list but I have no idea what his status is so in the meantime have him listed as needs to move soon as well. Course Colt Cabana is merely a call up, but since he's not on the major three lists we shall add him here. All five men would go to ECW, as would Paul Burchill once Homicide is signed (who of course also goes to ECW).

THE PLANS
ECW
Now then your roster is Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Senshi, Elix Skipper, Colt Cabana, CM Punk, John Morrison, Monty Brown, Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Steven Richards, Tommy Dreamer, Balls Mahoney, Val Venis, Victoria and Shannon Moore. I know many may blast what I am about to say, but hear me out. The entire rest of the time from October/November to Wrestlemania is a build up to the three way dance of John Morrison, CM Punk and Samoa Joe.
Why, because that would easily be the match of the night and has the potential to be the greatest match in Wrestlemania history. I almost would want to include Daniels, but I have other ideas for him. But yes, it would start out as Samoa Joe being the hired gun of John Morrison to take out CM Punk. That's why Punk calls on his best friend Colt, to even the score. This also allows us to see some Punk and Joe matches at Pay Per Views while Morrison defends the title against various folks.
The other major storyline on ECW would be a faction war, The Fallen versus The New Balance errr New Breed errr fuck it, they become the new Nation of Domination. Christopher Daniels would begin with promos anticipating his arrival. Every two weeks he's with another one of his lost souls. The Fallen becomes Daniels, Kevin Thorn, Steven Richards and Shannon Moore. You reunite Steven Richards and after a year or so you could have a Richards/Victoria Thorn/Ariel match. Yes, you would bring her back for that.
They would feud with The Nation which would be Elijah Burke, Monty Brown, Senshi and Elix Skipper. The blow off would be Wrestlemania in a falls count anywhere eight man hardcore match. Now imagine that at the Citrus Bowl, how amazing would that be? Now the key for all of ECW is for the WWE to allow them to just wrestle. Don't hinder on what these men could do, if you allow it, ECW would soon have higher ratings then maybe even Raw itself.

John Cena's reign of terror is almost to the one year mark, and since the rosters move around at October, that is where I am running with this idea. Also, Raw is now the sole home for Tag Team wrestling and Female wrestling in the WWE. You have two hours each week, there is plenty of room for the WWE, IC, Tag and Women's title. Women's and IC the first hour, Tag and WWE in the second. I would also pretty much book each card like that, maybe switching IC and Tag every now and then.
Now then, you have a great deal of female wrestlers so you can rotate who's on top fairly well. Just push whoever is getting this biggest pop each month, no one really cares about female wrestling. My main event though for Mania would be Mickie James versus Beth Phoenix for the title.
The Tag Team division needs a kick in the pants in the biggest way. They have plenty of sound tag teams and we need to show of their talents. Have one feud over the tag titles and one feud like the Rock N Roll and Midnight. Whirling Dervish, Cryme Tyme, and D&D should be feuding over the tag titles. Mania, I say you have to go Dervish and CT with CT finally winning the belts. The other feud I think you should have is London and Kendrick versus WGTT just for the athleticism alone.
The IC title needs to be brought back as the person who is likely next in line for the WWE title. It worked for Austin, Rock and HHH. It is where they hone their skills and get ready for the main event, and that is where they have dropped the ball in recent years. Umaga, Kennedy, these are main event folks and should be in this mix, but not Carlito. He can wrestle for it, but he should never win it, he's no main eventer. Hell, I would even move him back to Smackdown possibly. Lashley, Booker and Hardy should also be in this mix. Mix it up, and don't think about Mania, that's where Money in the Bank comes in.
The WWE title should revolve around Cena, Orton, HHH and HBK...at the beginning. I do think Kennedy is almost there, if only he can stay healthy till Wrestlemania. I would give Orton the belt in October, only to have HHH win it at the Royal Rumble. This is only to continue the stupid McMahon storyline of Kennedy being his son. He wins the Rumble and faces off against HHH at Wrestlemania.

No, I'm not kidding. He would hold onto the belt until Royal Rumble where hopefully Edge will be healthy enough to win the title from Ric Flair. Hey, Hogan got his last run with the title, so should Flair. I mean, after all, weren't we all taught when we were growing up that we should be fair to Flair?
Now then, now that all the women and tag teams are gone from Smackdown the focus would be on singles wrestling. Basically it would be for Vince's big men that he covets so much, guys who aren't ready for Raw and can't compete with ECW's level, and for Cruiserweights. Yes, the CW division for the new CW. Hell, maybe even change the name of the title to the CW title, confuse folks and make them think it's a TV title.
You have Batista, Undertaker, Khali, Big Daddy V, and Kane for the huge men contingent. Hell, maybe even more Snitsky over to Smackdown for his own hat trick. Sadly, none of these men would be in the main event at Mania. I would move for a Batista Undertaker rematch at Mania with Batista determined to break the record. I would also move for the fattest guy on the roster to take on the tallest guy so we can all have a piss break, just don't put it after the women's match.
You may be wondering, who then is wrestling Edge? Well, isn't it obvious? Matt Hardy will main event Wrestlemania, but of course, there will be a twist in this match. Lita will be made the guest referee. Say what, yes, Lita will be the guest referee. I think these two can at the very least put on one hell of a show together and they both have done enough for the company to deserve this spot.
The CW and US title, eh, it's the usual business for those two belts. I know you're thinking to yourself, no one in their right mind would watch this brand! Ah, have no fear my young peons, for I do have a solution to that dilemma. You see, Teddy Long is getting a bit long in the tooth to be GM of Smackdown. Therefore, the new Smackdown GM is none other then Stone Cold Steve Austin. See, I told you people would still watch.

See, I think their programs should be built into two halves. One building towards SummerSlam and one building towards Wrestlemania. In theory you could do it thrids with the other portion building for Survivor Series, but that's also where I would introduce WarGames to the WWE. So then, with all this written, here is what my card would be for Wrestlemania, bold is the winner.
Dark Match
Kane and Chuck Palumbo vs Colt Cabana and Tommy Dreamer
Curtain Jerker
8 Man Money In The Bank
Umaga vs Jeff Hardy vs Bobby Lashley vs Carlito vs MVP vs Rey Mysterio vs Shawn Michaels vs King Booker
