Our house, in the middle of recession...

Ok, the lyrics thing is probably a little "much", but its better then me saying "That being Said" all the time, so its one verbal crutch or another.

Anyway....

Housing market continues to crumble under our feet, making it harder and harder to become a real citizen of this country:
The decline in U.S. home prices accelerated nationwide in July, posting the steepest drop in 16 years, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index released Tuesday.

Home prices have fallen by more every month since the beginning of the year.

This really could have come at a better time for me personally, as I'm kind of forced to rent at the moment, but if this trend continues it could really help buy a sweet townhouse in my old Capitol Hill stomping grounds :).

Now, be a good market and continue to go through the crapper so that in about 6 months I'll have enough to buy a place back in DC!

It's not dropping THAT much, DC may be the only location that isn't dropping, specially the Hill.
