Krazy Khristians Krave Giuliani?

I guess the slim pickins is bad enough, Actor being conservative, Mormon pretending he's not, host of wackos and the cross-dressing former mayor of New York City.

Pat Robertson apparently likes him the the Cross-dresser!
Pat Robertson, one of the most influential figures in the social conservative movement, will announce his support for Rudy Giuliani's presidential bid this morning in Washington, D.C., according to sources familiar with the decision.
Yes, this is certain to swing my vote, what with Robertson labeling New Orleans as a harborer of gays, and thus deserved to be struck down by Katrina...

I guess I'm not as deep into what would be considered the "Conservative Movement" to totally understand this, but wouldn't the ultra-right pick a guy that preaches family values AND follows through on them? How many wives as Giuliani had now?

Surrounding himself with thugs like Kerik certainly helped his already tarnished image I'm sure, but how does Giuliani really appeal to the Bible Thumpers? Socially, he's pretty liberal on a lot of things it seems in his record, so perhaps I need someone to explain this one to me...

UPDATE: Its Official.

Thursday Throw Down

If Texas is beginning to go left, then it is a very good sign. Now it's just a matter of who is going to win the nomination.

Apparently Dubya believe in weapons of mass destruction up until 2006. He also believe in John Travolta's acting ability, that the Bills could win the Super Bowl and the tooth fairy.

Well, it's official, Fredrick of Hollywood has entered the race. I can't trust a man who can't even keep his own DAs alive.

Apparently we're all wrong and we're kicking some ass over in Iraq. If kicking ass means being on a base and not wearing a flak jacket then yes, we are indeed kicking some ass.

Moviefone has its list of top twenty five sex scenes in film. Everything was going fine for me until I got done and realized the number one wasn't even on the list. How can you not have Original Sin on this list?

Corrente has joined my side of Elizabeth Edwards being the best person in this whole campaign. I've said it before and I shall say it again, I'd vote for her alone.

I have to agree fully, it is time to wake up. Dubya, you are not Ender Wiggins and this is not a game. You don't get to push the reset button when a life is lost.

You know if I did things in my job just because I was certain I'd probably lose it. Sadly no one seems to be willing to force this asshole out.

Barry found a great flight story involving a hot Hooters waitress, a male stewardess and stupidity.

It takes an independent study to really get a look at Iraq. I'm waiting for their new line to be about how the US' government took a decade to get itself right too.

Senator Stevens, do you see anything wrong with what you did with earmarks? NO! So then you would be surprised that you look guiltier then Charles Manson?

We bring to you more simple answers to simple questions. It is just also another example of why Mississippi is fine and New Orleans looks post-apocalyptic still.

Friday Blog The Horn

We open today with a great analysis of energy, politics, candidates and where they all stand. I love the opening part about all the ties the Administration has to the oil industry, at least we're not the only ones who can recognize it.

You can bet that commuting a death sentence would never have happened on Dubya's watch. Hell, he tried to install an express lane for people who had Smart Cards.

Let it be know that Iowa is now going to be included on the list of places that have "activist judges". It's not activism when all they are doing is following the letter of the law folks.

I love this kind of thinking. When something is broken and filled with corruption, press the restart button.

KO lets us know that the GAO report was leaked because of fear of the administration watering it down once again. What, the administration manipulate a report to suit their ends? Never.

The Right-to-Lifers continue to spread their lies and misleading information. This time they target Colorado, the one place that NEEDS birth control. Say it with me folks, no more Broncos fans!

KO goes after Bush and how a Republican state not hit as badly by Katrina has received about double more money then the Democratic state hit worse by the hurricane. Of course this should come as no surprise by anyone, Kanye West already told us why.

The state of the Terminator took steps to prevent bad sci-fi movie shit from becoming real life and mandatory. Now my friends and I have to stop another friend from creating Skynet.

The Diamond Hoggers have your various baseball stories in one nice little article, go forth and multiply.

Hey, someone got a hold of the questionairre job application for the Justice Department. How can you say this doesn't violate the Hatch Act? Well, I guess you could say it, it just wouldn't be true.

We all knew Manny Rameriz was from Planet Man-Ram, but now we know who his parents are as well. I wonder, was he babysat by Jim Neidhardt?

The Cleveland Browns took it the defending NFC Champions last night. Let it be known that Joshua Cribbs is quickly becoming the most beloved son in Cleveland since a man named Bernie.

I want to be serious for a minute, like Lance Storm, this makes me sick to my stomach. I am down right furious right now, they have no right what so ever and damn them and their souls for doing this. If you're as upset at this as I am look into the organization mentioned.

Faith always contains an element of risk, of venture

I know I've talked about this in the past, mainly about how much respect I have for Elizabeth Edwards, but John Edwards right now is without a doubt running the best campaign out of any candidates. Maybe I am being suckered, but he is talking about the issues that I think are most important to this country. It isn't Iraq, it's the wealth divide and the lack of insurance. It's the fact that two years ago today a great portion of the Gulf was destroyed and to this day most of it still has yet to recover from it.

He doesn't believe in gay marriage, but I don't believe he would stop legislation allowing it. He's young (well younger then the rest save for Obama) and has vision of great things for this country and that is what we need right now. We don't need who is most popular, we need who is most competent for the job. We've gone the popularity route the last two elections, beer or no beer that did not work out too well.

I have all the respect in the world for Barack Obama and I do believe one day he very well may be President of the united states, but this is not his election to be the primary candidate. To truly defeat the Republican Menace we need someone like John Edwards. Hate to say it, but what we need is this Southern white male to draw in the votes from Republicans who have lost faith in their party.

I don't believe people like Romney or Rudy can win in the south, they're too Northern. Yeah, some may get fooled by Fred Thompson, but I doubt he'll get the ticket. John Edwards may not be my favorite candidate but he is the person I feel has the best shot of winning this race. Poverty covers all races, not just minorities. Katrina hurt all races, including the majority.

Right now I am not too concerned about who the ideal candidate to push for the legislation I want accomplished. Right now I want a candidate who can win against the Right Wing Smear Machine. We need to take this country away from those who would change it, who would alter it into a police theocracy. This country was built on the premise that ALL men should be free, even if all men weren't free at the time. It does not matter race, religion, sex, or sexuality, all should be treated as equals. All should have say in their own lives and not me lorded over a group of aristocrats who believe their power is divine. We overthrew that kind of superiority once before and we most do so again before it is too late, when our enemy has been Eastasia and has always been Eastasia.

Post Katrina BS

Leave it to Bama and all of those who love to Roll Tide to take advantage of Katrina and manipulate the system to their advantage.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - With large swaths of the Gulf Coast still in ruins from Hurricane Katrina, rich federal tax breaks designed to spur rebuilding are flowing hundreds of miles inland to investors who are buying up luxury condos near the University of Alabama’s football stadium.

About 10 condominium projects are going up in and around Tuscaloosa, and builders are asking up to $1 million for units with granite countertops, king-size bathtubs and ‘Bama decor, including crimson couches and Bear Bryant wall art.

While many of the buyers are Crimson Tide alumni or ardent football fans not entitled to any special Katrina-related tax breaks, many others are real estate investors who are purchasing the condos with plans to rent them out.

And they intend to take full advantage of the generous tax benefits available to investors under the Gulf Opportunity Zone Act of 2005, or GO Zone, according to Associated Press interviews with buyers and real estate officials.

Gotta love it, right? The rebuilding after Katrina has been one of the most disgusting events in recent American history. Two years after Katrina happened we still have people living in toxic FEMA trailers while folks are more concerned making luxury condos. The saddest part of it is, all this money being spent in Iraq could be spent to rebuild homes, levees, repair bridges, fix our basic infrastructure. Of course, we can't do that, that isn't the Republican way. That way is to not fund these things, leave it to companies, to states that cannot afford it, and then wonder why tragedies happen in America that could have been prevented.
